Announcing Summer Group Programs!

I am opening the doors to elementary aged group lessons AND a new PreK/KG program! Lessons start up in June and slots are starting to fill up. Once they are full, I will be closing the doors for summer and potentially the next school year.

Two Options!

Key Master Private Lessons are full and will be so for the coming school year. However, I still have 3 slots left for my Wednesday morning Primer Keys Group (ages 4-6) and limited openings for my Keyboard Kats Elementary Groups.

What do we do in class?

🎹 Primer Keys: Lay a solid musical foundation for your child with our Primer Keys program. With the help of my junior teacher, Adi, your child will learn essential musical elements such as rhythms, notes, solfege, and basic piano techniques. We emphasize building a strong understanding of music theory and technique, preparing your child for a smooth transition into elementary-level lessons.

🐱 Keyboard Kats: Delve into the rich tapestry of music history with our Keyboard Kats program. Through engaging activities and personalized piano pieces, your child will explore different musical eras and develop a deeper appreciation for music. Our focus extends beyond solo performance to include ensemble skills and performance workshops, fostering well-rounded musicianship and confidence on the piano.

How to Register

Fill out THIS FORM for registration. From here I will give you an account to the portal for the calendar.

Or, contact me at jaclyn@pianokats.com so that we can set up a Meet and Greet. Come on out to the studio, take a look around, and let's chat a bit. I find that this helps to ease any nerves for potential students and it gives me a chance to talk one on one with the parent too.

I look forward to answering any questions you might have! It's going to be a great summer full of sun, fun, and music.

Many thanks,

Jaclyn

Piano Kats Teacher Community May 8th Let's Chat: Spring Recital Programs Spring Recitals - Have You Had Yours Yet? Or maybe you recognized your own boundaries and said, 'Maybe next year', which to that, I would applaud as well. My tradition is to host a grand Spring Recital annually. However, this year, I broke it into two performances to avoid it becoming too lengthy. I also decided to try out making my programs into booklets, which has resulted in quite a few messages on social media asking...

Piano Kats Teacher Community March 6th Let's Chat: Master Minds Explained (story time!) A little over year ago, I was unfamiliar with the concept of a Master Mind group. But what I did know was that I wanted a sense of community in my piano teaching journey. While I had local friends through associations, our interactions were mainly limited to meetings where we focused on organizational tasks rather than discussing our own teaching studios and challenges. So, I decided to work with a coach,...

Piano Kats Teacher Community February 28th Let's Chat: Leap Year and Active Listening Students using coloring sheets for active listening Last Minute Leap Year Activity I wasn't exactly planning on doing anything special for Leap Year, but as my younger group classes were approaching, I found myself thinking we could at least incorporate it during our listening activity. Why listening and coloring? Simple: we want our students to learn how to actively listen and children love to color. I also...
